PROJECT STORY
A custom Fireplace TV Wall shaped around the room.
The arched opening on the right was an existing architectural condition that needed to remain untouched. Starting from a simple TV-and-console wall, the project added a full-height stone feature and carried the mantel's stain direction into new ceiling beams.
Project goal. Create a custom fireplace-centered TV wall for the living room while adding ceiling beams and a warm stained-wood accent that connects the mantel to the new overhead architecture.
The wall and ceiling were connected through material rather than identical shapes. Light natural stone creates the projecting floor-to-ceiling fireplace surface, with the mounted television and linear electric fireplace stacked on the centerline. A substantial dark-stained wood mantel introduces a warm horizontal break, and new ceiling beams repeat that stain direction overhead while the existing arched opening remains intact.

The mantel and new ceiling beams carry one stained-wood language through the stone composition.
Light natural stone surrounds the mounted TV and linear fireplace, and the substantial stained mantel visually connects the feature wall to the newly added ceiling beams.
Repeating the client-selected stain direction on the mantel and beams ties the wall to the overhead architecture without introducing another competing finish.
BEFORE
An existing arch framed an otherwise simple TV-and-console wall.
The arched opening on the right stayed in place; the wall itself had no custom fireplace structure, natural-stone finish, or new ceiling beams.
The finished composition adds a full-height stone Custom Fireplace TV Wall, mounted TV, linear electric fireplace, stained mantel, and matching stained beams while preserving the arch.

A finished feature designed to belong to the room.
Stone, stained wood, and the existing arch now read together: the full-height fireplace wall anchors the room, and matching ceiling beams extend the custom work above without disturbing the opening.
