THE ROOM COMES FIRST
Design Begins With What Is Already There
Ceiling height, sight lines, furniture, openings, natural light, and the way the room is used establish the boundaries of the design.
A beautiful material can still be wrong for a space if the scale, depth, or placement is off. We look for the point where the wall can add structure without competing with the room. That may mean simplifying a composition, widening a reveal, changing the shelf rhythm, moving a visual center, or choosing a quieter finish so the finished work feels resolved rather than decorated.
