PROJECT STORY
A custom Fireplace TV Wall shaped around the room.
Before the build, the television sat on a freestanding media console against an otherwise simple wall. The permanent feature replaces that loose arrangement with one floor-to-ceiling stone mass and coordinated dark-stained wood elements.
Project goal. Replace the basic TV-and-console wall with a permanent fireplace-centered feature that integrates the television, an electric fireplace, natural stone, and dark-stained wood details in one coordinated composition.
The new wall is organized around a projecting floor-to-ceiling stone volume rather than added furniture. Warm-toned natural stone wraps both the front and side returns, with the television mounted above a long dark-stained wood mantel and the linear electric fireplace below. A substantial wood platform projects at the base in the same stain, creating a second horizontal line that visually balances the mantel.

MATERIAL & FORM DETAIL
Natural stone and dark-stained wood define the fireplace composition.
Textured natural stone provides the vertical mass; the long mantel and projecting lower platform repeat the same dark stain as two deliberate horizontal accents.
Keeping both wood elements in the client-selected dark stain gives the lighter stone a clear frame while the linear electric fireplace remains centered within the feature.
BEFORE
The television rested on loose furniture before the wall became architectural.
A freestanding media console sat below the TV, with no fireplace, natural-stone feature, built-in mantel, or projecting lower platform.
The finished wall replaces the furniture-based composition with a permanent stone volume, mounted TV, linear fireplace, and coordinated stained-wood elements.
THE RESULT
A finished feature designed to belong to the room.
Natural stone now gives the living room a permanent vertical focal point, while the matching dark-stained mantel and lower platform create a deliberate two-line wood detail around the mounted TV and electric fireplace.
