PROJECT STORY
A custom Fireplace TV Wall shaped around the room.
The existing beige wall already carried the television. Rather than change its color or the upper architecture, the work added a substantial fireplace feature beneath the screen, giving the open great room a new focal point.
Project goal. Introduce a fireplace beneath the existing television while keeping the familiar wall and room finishes.
A supporting frame was constructed below the television and clad with light, deeply textured natural stone. A substantial wood mantel was fabricated and finished in the stain selected by the client, separating the stone-faced electric fireplace from the original painted TV wall above. A long horizontal electric fireplace was installed, then the original television was reattached. The open kitchen and breakfast bar remain alongside the feature, allowing the stone relief and dark wood to be seen from several positions in the great room.

DESIGN & LAYOUT
Decisions shaped around the room.
The new light ivory stone relief sits below a substantial dark stained mantel, while the existing beige wall and upper architecture are unchanged.
- New natural-stone fireplace feature built below the existing TV
- Distinctive deep stone surface relief in a light ivory tone
- Substantial custom-stained wood mantel
- Long black linear electric fireplace
- Original wall paint and mounted television retained
- Open great room connecting to the kitchen

MATERIALS & DETAILS
Materials chosen to support the composition.
- Light cream-to-ivory textured natural stone cladding (species not confirmed)
- Wood mantel with client-selected dark stain
- Linear electric fireplace insert

STONE & MANTEL DETAIL
The stone relief catches light beneath a dark stained mantel.
Texture and horizontal contrast define this fireplace feature.
The close view shows uneven pale-ivory natural-stone surfaces beneath the smooth dark wooden mantel. The black linear electric insert forms a clean horizontal opening through the textured surround.

BEFORE
The existing television wall had no fireplace beneath it.
The original beige paint and surrounding room were retained.
Before the work, the television was mounted directly on the painted wall above two visible outlets. The finished project added the framed stone fireplace and custom stained mantel without repainting the wall or replacing the TV.
THE RESULT
A finished feature designed to belong to the room.
The original television remains in place above a new focal fireplace composition: pale textured stone, a dark client-stained wooden mantel and a long linear electric flame display. The beige wall and open kitchen connection were preserved.
